Yea if the injury system will give certain disadvantages in s2k then OTA should suffer the same things, the gap between rebels and OTA is already large enough
does it even matter anymore? sweeps rarely ever occur and OTA hardly ever sweeped in the first place, and when they are used it's in the context of an event where they're already told to s2m or are nerfed to work well

Hardly isnt never, if they did sweep I would want want them to have at least one disadvantage that we have, they already have godlike stats, can’t be stunsticked, have armour on their full body, I wouldn’t want one to shoot me in the leg and disable me for the full fight unless I could do the same thing

i dink this may be an issue with the concept of sweeps in general forcing players into combat they wish not to be in as a result of another player's actions maybe we should disadvantage OTA but just as the toilet overflows i think we should look into the strangled neck rather than the toilet paper amounts.

I'd like to point out that head armour still means you're doing health damage to them and it doesn't cancel out the headshot multiplier. This isn't like CW where they were always 400 points you had to chew through to kill one.

They may take 5-6 headshots with the pistol to kill rather than two - it isn't an absolutely massive gap but they also shouldn't be fair. What advantage have rebels ever had over OTA? Literally none, ever.

I'd be more worried about certain people using this to drag cops off and strip their gear than I would the idea we may eventually have one legitimate sweep of OTA because at least the former could actually happen.

I mean, aren't OTA deployed when shit gets real anyway? I don't see why people are going through this discussion of "OTA overpowered" again, especially considering what Rabid said. They're peak condition soldiers in pretty damn advanced armour, of course they're going to shrug off high amounts of damage that'd kill a normal unarmoured human.

dont worry

all ota sweeps have been voided so far, so how big are the chances that the next one wont be voided

This may be a hot/controversial take, but please hear me out before dumbing me,

I think we have grown out of having to have OTA being OP as an OOC tool, and its a remnant of older systems. A lot of things have changed over the years including the culture of the community, and we rarely if almost never get to actually use soldiers in the server because there's still the stigma that they are too OP to be included in anything. If we still needed some kind of thing to fulfill the role OTA currently have, I'd say the Synth soldier(s) (taking about the stuff that would be added in Deathwolfs pack, + the synth we already have) that we have right now works perfectly. I think it's time to reform OTA into a more accessible faction that has more presence and importance in the server for roleplay, and most importantly are not buffed up to be intentionally unfair against rebels. They obviously should still be more of a threat than your average cop, but I believe this mentality that they are super soldiers needs to finally go to rest.

While it would be cool for OTA to be an actual faction, Proselytes already fill that void. So I could only see this working if Proselytes were removed entirely, which let's face it wont happen.

proselytes fill the niche as an investigative federal service, its like comparing the secret service/fbi to the army

True I suppose. If OTA was to be an actual faction though, what changes would be made to make them less OP or more worth actually playing. As it stands, OTA's main job is just guarding CAB, a job they share with OSI when they're not doing investigations and shit. Personally, I would drop their health and armour to something more reasonable, like 150 heath and armour compared to 200, and maybe remove their thermal vision? Not so sure about the second.
