But it wouldnt be working right because most people wouldnt voluntarily agree with communism
Okay. Let me run this down.
The guy made a hypothetical statement saying, "When socialism is put into work properly, it is good."
If anything is put into work properly, which essentially means correctly, then it is good.
If communism was put into work properly then humans would have no worries, ideally. Which is an impossible hypothetical situation.
No political system ever "works properly" or ideally, so the hypothetical is as baseless and useless as me saying "When my oven works correctly, it is good." About my broken oven. It doesn't change anything about the oven, I've just stated that it would be good if it worked.

Stop kidding yourself there, alright? If your country employs a certain part of socialism into their framework of a capitalistic free market, it does not make your country Socialist, which it is not by the way. But I guess it's just cool to call yourself a socialist these days, huh.

Discussions here were about pure socialism and communism and how they would/had pan/panned out. You're literally not surprising anyone by saying "Look how my heavily modified socialism works guys!". We get that when you take the best parts of a system that it tends to work.
People say: HOW CAN U BE SOC IF THIS IS WHAT IT DONE TO YOUR COUNTRY without even saying what exactly they mean, if they even know what they mean. And here you see, post-soviet country working very well.
EDIT: Really a matter of after-soviet politicians, my country has really stupid assholes as politicians, also fascists so dont expect it do develop anything like the americans or russians have.

But have you missed my point? If you're praising Denmark for it's socialism, refer back to where I call it out as a blatantly pointless example as it is far from a pure socialistic state(Which we are talking about).
Nah there was a point supposed to be written but i didnt finish anf accidently posted the reply since im using my phone, it is edited now and actually contains something to talk about

Daily reminder that Humans are greedy by nature, and having a system in place that does not give incentive for their greed will only cause issues IE; Communism, Socialism. Most people have it out for themselves, even if they wont tell you. Some get satisfaction out of helping others, but that's their incentive, satisfaction of aiding another. Yada yada, Socialism is bad. Get crunked.

What is pure socialism?
Everyone had a different opinion.
Hell the reason we have these branchrs of socialism is because people didn't agree on what pure socialism was.

Here in Scandinavia, it was decided that pure socialism is done by slow, democratic and peaceful reforms. Which is exactly what has happened here.

If people are greedy they can be taught how not to be, first of all they need to know they got everything they need exactly like the others and anyways they can still own something others dont like an xbox to fuel their greed... Wouldnt be too much of a problem once the ideology gets to place.

I agree with your definition, because overall socialists try to be the most democratic, thats why they want equality amongst people. Of course, somebody is going to bring out the what communism did but again, their socialism/communism was differently put to work than talked about

No, they cannot be "taught how not to be." It is in their chemistry, if I eat a Twinkie. It releases dopamine in my brain. I like Twinkies, so my brain rewards me for eating said Twinkies. You can press it into someones brain, and punish them for being greedy, but they will only hide their outside appearance of being greedy. When people in North Korea are crossing the border, do you not think they have been washed to not be greedy? But I'd say risking your entire lineage for your own safety is rather greedy.

Yes, that is someone elses definition of pure socialism. As I said. What is pure socailism here, is more commonly known as Social Democracy.
I could bring up my entire education on the history of workers movements in Scandinavia, it's separation from the bolsjeviks for them being too extreme, etc. But you should understand that by now.

As I said, pure socialism isn't a thing. It is a matter of perspective.

E: Hell, communism was spawned from radicals saying that true socialism was only achievable through bloodshed. Again, another perspective on what pure socialism is.

it's built on social-democracy
85% of the people commenting here dont understand what theyre talking about, despite the fact i provided a good source... Social democracy is something between socialism and capitalism, just like the guy said, based on socialism WITH SOME OTHER IDEOLOGIES
