Not sure how many (if any at all) recognize this movie, but it's my favourite movie / mini-series I've ever watched. It's a great movie overall and I've had great enjoyment with it.

Overall, if you are interested in the Samurai era of Japan, or Japan in general, this movie may be for you. The Japanese actors only speak Japanese, although there are no subtitles. If you are learning Japanese, this movie could be useful as the protagonist learns Japanese as the movie progresses, so if you pay attention you might catch a word or two.
